Locally, Nationally & Internationally
|
In seeking to fulfil our calling to serve humbly, we want to make a difference with our time and gifts, as well as seeking to campaign and promote justice and well-being in our local, national and international communities.
We seek to integrate our concern for and service of others into as many aspects of our life together. These range from petitioning local and national politicians, to gifting to development charities, to events seeking to get behind some of the important and often complicated issues of development and justice.
The organisations we have recently supported and worked with include:
Locally: Wolverhampton Food Bank Trinity began contributing to the Wolverhampton Food Bank in September 2011. This came about from our Livegroup discussions around Easter when we felt we wanted to do more for the community round us. The Co-op very kindly donated a trolley to the church for members to contribute food items and we set up a rota for people to take the food to the Food Bank. We are very grateful to all those people who have contributed in so many ways. Brothers of the Good Shepherd (Wolverhampton), Haven Refuge, Local Care Homes (including Engleberg Methodist Care Home) Nationally: Methodist Homes for the Aged, Action for Children Internationally World Vision, Christian Aid, Water Aid |
